The following documents are a collection of supplementary materials for the Common Core State Standards/Math Wars portion of the June 28, 2013 conference call. They provide a comprehensive, in-depth explanation of the goals and objectives of the Common Core State Standards as well as a rundown of which states have currently adopted the Common Core State Standards. I strongly encourage you to go through these materials (read the PDFs before the Powerpoint presentations) alongside the required reading materials for Friday’s call.

The more they try to change the standards the more the needs stay the same. Common core students gaps are still there. Math Sense is still required. Teaching math that make sense to them is needed more than ever. Using online grading makes it easier for teacher not the student.
