One of the highlights of the Mathnasium Method™ is our approach to introducing the concept of percent to mean “for each 100.” As students master this approach, it becomes apparent that alternate strategies for solving percentage questions are sometimes in order because the numbers are not “friendly” enough. In this article and future articles, we will explore other ways to handle a wide range of percentage questions.
