I am pleased to announce that Symmetric Capital, an investment fund, will be taking a minority, non-controlling interest in Mathnasium. Companies at our stage of development usually sell to a majority investor. Instead, we are maintaining financial and operational control of our company while still accessing the many advantages of partnering with an investment fund, such as financing capability, heightened credibility to attract the best executives to the team, and greater strength both to take on potential competitors and to pursue growth initiatives. I will invite Rob Walsh, one of the principals of Symmetric, to our convention. I want him to tell you in person about Symmetric’s philosophy in taking non-controlling interests in companies, and their commitment to helping us become better, faster, without compromising our focus.

Please note that no one’s role is changing. My co-founders and I are more excited than ever about the company’s future and more committed to your success.
