U.S. Centers: November Holidays—Thanksgiving and Veterans Day!
[38]“Gratitude” is November’s buzzword as we celebrate Thanksgiving and recognize the contributions of those with prior military service on Veterans Day! We’ve incorporated Thanksgiving messaging into November consumer and teacher emails, as well as the in-center and teacher flyers. Social media graphics for both Thanksgiving [39] and Veterans Day [40] are also available.
Be Visible:
- Update your microsite [41]: current hours of operation, offers, seasonal banner, free trial special offer, etc.
- Leverage social media to drive leads to your microsite.
- Also, feel free to share articles on the Mathnasium Number Sense Blog [42] on your social media pages!
Reach Out to Potential Customers:
- Post referral flyers and distribute referral cards to interested parents.
- Partner with Schools: Head over to Download Depot for tons of best practices resources for PTA outreach [43] (most are applicable for building relationships with all variants of parent leader groups). Mathnasium + PTA [44] and Mathnasium + Parent Leaders [24] marketing materials are also available.
- Reach Out to Classroom Teachers: Show support: Visit the schools in your territory and hand-deliver the teacher flyer, placing it into their mailboxes yourself. If your local schools aren’t receptive to in-person visits, send a quick teacher email [12] to all teachers.
- Engage in Public Relations: When warranted, customize and send out press releases based on our templates to local media contacts.
- Optional—Host a TriMathlon: Recommended for experienced Franchisees only (> 1 year in business).
- November 5 and 6 are fast approaching, and TriMathlon weekend will be here before you know it! In the month leading up to TriMathlon, make a strong push for student participation and community awareness by reaching out to your contacts.
- Fine-tune event logistics: Gather your staff and volunteers for a TriMathlon meeting shortly before your event to ensure everyone’s on the same page regarding roles and responsibilities.

Create the Opportunity to Enroll:
- Send targeted November parent mass emails [12] by November 5 and remind current, potential, and inactive customers that Mathnasium is here to help, regardless of their child’s math goals. Customize and send out the October/November 2016 Newsflash [12] newsletter template.
- Bring in your report card for a high five and a fun reward! In lieu of our monthly promo, families are encouraged to bring their child’s most recent report card into the Center to receive one of the reward options below. Drive local engagement by promoting across social media.
- Leads/inactive customers bring in their report cards for a fun prize (something from your rewards cabinet, Mathnasium gear, or gift cards).
- Current students receive (at your discretion) extra punches on their punch cards or a fully completed punch card!

The “In-Center” flyers have the same body of text as the “Teacher” flyers (both U.S. versions). It mentions being great educators and empowering their students – this doesn’t work for something to hand out to parents and leads as they come into my center. Since we aren’t allowed to edit the body of flyers (something I find very difficult to deal with at times) can somebody please fix this and update the flyers on Download Depot.
