Democracy Is in The Air: It’s MFAC Election Season!

** Elections to be held in November for MFAC Representatives for the Southeast and West Regions **

Since its inception in 2015, the Mathnasium Franchise Advisory Committee [1] (MFAC) has successfully served as one of many communication channels between HQ and the Mathnasium franchise network, providing feedback and insights about your concerns that have helped shape and drive initiatives for the benefit of all.

By design, four of the initial eight members were to serve one-year terms, enabling us to achieve staggered two-year terms going forward. In 2017, the following franchisees will rotate off MFAC: Sam Younis (Southeast), Reggie Kellum (West), John Labuda (multi-center HQ appointee), and John Opalko (single-center HQ appointee).

HQ will appoint one multi- and one single-center owner to MFAC to replace Mr. Labuda and Mr. Opalko. Elections will be held in November for Southeast and West region representatives to fill the positions vacated by Mr. Younis and Mr. Kellum.

Franchisees in the West and Southeast regions: this is where you come in. If you would like to be an MFAC member, now is the time to make your voice heard!

To qualify, franchisees must fill out the Nominee Profile Questionnaire [2], submit the Questionnaire to nominations@mathnasium.com [3] by Friday, October 28, and meet the criteria outlined below:

Completed Nominee Profile Questionnaires will be made available on Mathnasium Matters on November 2 to help West- and Southeast-region franchisees select the candidates they feel are most qualified to represent their respective regions. Voting runs from November 8–11; West- and Southeast-region franchisees will receive their voting links via email on November 8.

Key Dates:

October 28 – Nominee Profile Questionnaires due (email nominations@mathnasium.com [3])

November 2 – NPQs posted on Mathnasium Matters

November 8 – Voting opens; links will be sent to all franchisees in the West and Southeast regions

November 11 – Voting ends

November 14 – New MFAC members announced

New members will gather in Los Angeles with the rest of MFAC for their first meeting with HQ representatives from November 30 to December 2.

Thank you to Sam Younis, Reggie Kellum, John Labuda, and John Opalko for their participation and contributions over the last year!

Will you please let us know what the duties are of a MFAC. I have no knowledge of what they are supposed to have been doing.
