Farewell to Nathaniel Erwin

Last week marked the end of an era at Mathnasium, as Nathaniel Erwin left us to take on a new challenge and move back closer to family. Nathaniel had been with Mathnasium for 9 years, first as a Center Director, and then holding many key roles here at Home Office. He is directly responsible for many of the systems that have been developed for Franchisees in the last few years. He brought a new level of rigor and responsibility to the design and release process that greatly increased the quality of the systems and tools that we rolled out. Thank you, Nathaniel, we will miss you!

As always, when one door closes, another one opens, and while we cannot ever replace everything Nathaniel meant to the system, we have an opportunity for another talented individual to bring their learning center expertise to Home Office as Director of Franchise Systems. If a Center Director or even a Franchisee is interested in shaping the systems provided to Mathnasium centers across the world to the benefit of thousands of children, they should refer to the position description attached here [1] and follow the link for application. A referral fee will be paid to a Franchisee upon successful hire of one of their employees.

Thank you,
Mathnasium Home Office

We should all be grateful that Nathaniel, as a newly-minted college graduate, was unable to find a civil engineering job and ended up applying to work as a Mathnasium instructor. He was a true blessing to me here in Baton Rouge, and he’s been an even greater blessing to our organization while working in L.A.

Nathaniel, I’ll miss you, but I know how much you and Mary — and especially your girls — are going to enjoy living near your families. Wishing you all the best!

Thank you, Nathaniel, for all of your efforts in service of the Mathnasium mission! As Ryan said, you will certainly be missed. But I’m sure this next phase of your life will be fantastic for you and your family. Many blessings!

Good luck Nathaniel! Nathaniel and I were the only 2 in our training group in February 2011 and he showed star potential then for someone so young. Wishing you and your family best wishes for the future!
