Where’s Larry?

[1]

Larry is off to a great start on his journey to Washington, D.C.! He’s taking the scenic path along Route 66, expecting to find adventure and great stories along the way.

In keeping with our theme of “Success Is The Journey,” Larry will be sharing his journey via postcards that can be found in Radius. We invite you to share your journey of success by keeping up with each of Larry’s postcards along the way and following the instructions to participate.

Right now, Larry and his trusty Beetle, Digit, are on their way to their first stop in Baker, California, where you can find the world’s LARGEST thermometer!

Go to Radius and find our first postcard as well as a fun math activity from the Education Department! Share the math activity with the students in your Center, and share a story of success with Larry via the postcard in Radius. These cards will fuel his excitement and be celebrated at this year’s Convention in D.C.

Be quick to send in your story; the first 100 submissions will receive a surprise reward at this year’s Convention!

Click the picture of Larry, then click the picture of the postcard that comes up after that to fill it out.

I don’t see a math activity, just the postcard.

It would be helpful to get the map as a poster and the Beetle as a separate piece that we could move across the map with Larry. We would love to put it up in the Center.

We could then post the postcards on the wall with the Poster and Beetle, and students to see everyone’s comments. Let me know if that’s doable. Thanks – Kathryn

Also, getting the form as a separate file would be helpful. Please advise. Thanks – Kathryn

I’d love to have the poster and Beetle, like Kathryn suggested. Could this possibly be added to Download Depot?

Did anyone find where the math activity is located?

Hello everyone!

We are very excited to see such enthusiasm around finding Larry’s journey in Radius!

It looks like Michelle Stevenson from Middletown DE may have found our “Easter egg” in the post to help franchisees discover where the Larry postcard has been residing in Radius.

We hope that the two images below can be some helpful hints in finding the Larry postcard:

[2]

Click somewhere in this post to find the page in Radius with the postcard!

[3]

Get creative with the URL to find where the Larry postcard is!

We have already received some wonderful success stories. We look forward to reading more!

Also, to address the question about the Education Activity, you should now be able to find the Education Activity on the same page in Radius as the Larry postcards!

I tried to access the form to share a success story, but I got a message that I need permission to open it. Can you send that for me, please? Also, any update on getting a printable map and Beetle?

Hi Megan ~ thank you for your questions! We have replied in the reminder post for “Where’s Larry?” to assist you with filling out the postcard.

We would be happy to answer all your questions regarding a printable map. First, we do want to mention that we appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm around the “Where’s Larry” map and Beetle. However, these materials were only intended to appeal to the franchise network and create excitement around our Convention (which is attended by Mathnasium personnel). They were not intended for customer or in-Center consumption.

Instead, we would ask that you engage actively in the Flat Ace Activity and Social Media Contest! You can find more information about this in May’s Marketing Update ( [4]) and the respective Matters post on the activity ( [5]). For this upcoming month, we will also be encouraging Centers to put a map of the world up in their Centers and track places that the students (and their Flat Aces) go for travel, vacation, etc. throughout the summer.

If there are any additional questions on this, please let us know!
